Hi.
My
name
is
Johnni
Zabka.
I
am
the
owner of SpiritCorner.com. This
website is a division of Spirit
Corner, LLC.
I
have
been
involved
in
baton
twirling
(NBTA),
dance,
gymnastics and
colorguard
most
of
my
life.
As
a
twirling
competitor
I
won
numerous
awards
at
the
State
&
National
level.
As
a
captain,
coach
&
instructor
I
have led
baton
twirling
teams
and
colorguard
teams
to
championships
at
the
State,
Regional
&
National
level.
I
also
instructed
at
a
baton
camp
since
the
age
of
16.
I
attended Eastern
Illinois University
where I was the
feature
twirler
from
1986-1990.
I
established the
Elite Baton Twirling
Team of St. Charles,
Illinois, where
I had many successful
students compete
at the State, Regional
and National Level.
I gave up my position at
the Park District
when I began coaching
the St. Charles
East Colorguard
full-time.
I
recently
retired from 14 years of
coaching
at
St.
Charles East.
During
my years as Head Coach the Colorguard
won State Championships with
IDTA from 2002-2010. IDTA
recognized this accomplishment
with my induction into the IDTA
Hall of Fame in March 2010.
I
am currently available for judging
NBTA contests. I
am
also
available
for
choreography
of
Colorguard
&
Flag
Teams,
and to instruct
at Clinics.
I
teach
Baton
Twirling in
the
Illinois/Chicago
area.
In addition,
I travel
to Pennsylvania
(my home state)
to teach private
lessons, and can
be reached by phone

My Specialties
are
NBTA
Modeling,
2
baton,
3
baton,
4
baton,
and
fire
baton.
I also instruct
NBTA strut, solo,
basic march, duets,
and trios.
Recent work
has included choreographing
baton twirling routines via
video for pageants and captain/feature
twirler tryouts, and colorguard
football/competition routines.
