Hi.
My
name
is
Johnni
Zabka.
I
am
a
WAHM
(work
at
home
mom)
and
the
Varsity
Coach
of
the
St.
Charles
East
Colorguard,
St.
Charles,
Illinois.
I
have
been
involved
in
baton
twirling
(NBTA),
dance,
gymnastics and
colorguard
most
of
my
life.
As
a
twirling
competitor
I
won
numerous
awards
at
the
State
&
National
level.
As
a
captain,
coach
&
instructor
I
have also
led
baton
twirling
teams
and
high
school
teams
to
championships
at
the
State,
Regional
&
National
level.
I
was
an
active
member
of
NBTA
Judges
prior
to
my
2nd
child
and I
judged
NBTA
Nationals
at AYOP
for
a
number
of
years.
I
also
instructed
at
a
baton
camp
since
the
age
of
16.
I
attended Eastern
Illinois University
where I was the
feature
twirler
from
1986-1990.
I
graduated EIU with
a bachelors in Elementary
Ed & Jr. High
Science.
I
established the
Elite Baton Twirling
Team of St. Charles,
Illinois, where
I had many successful
students compete
at the State, Regional
and National Level.
I gave up my position at
the Park District
when I began coaching
the STCE Colorguard
full-time.
I
have
been
coaching
at
STCE
since
Fall
1996.
I
love
every
minute
of
working
with
High
School
kids!
I
choreograph
football
and
competitive
routines
for
the
colorguard.
I
also
assist
in
clinics
at
other
schools.
I
am
available
by
request
for
choreography
of
Colorguard
&
Flag
Teams,
and to instruct
at Clinics.
I
am
also
available
for
teaching
Baton
Twirling in
the
Illinois/Chicago
area.
In addition,
I travel
to Pennsylvania
(my home state)
to teach private
lessons, and can
be reached by phone

My Specialties
are
NBTA
Modeling, Hoop Baton,
2
baton,
3
baton,
4
baton,
and
fire
baton.
I also instruct
NBTA strut, solo,
basic march, duets,
and trios.
Recent work
has included choreographing
baton twirling routines via
video for pageants and captain/feature
twirler tryouts, and colorguard
football/competition routines.
Now
that
I
am
a
Mom
of
4
kids,
I
find
myself
involved
in
other
sports
and
activities.
I
am
constantly
looking
for
the
best
resources,
books,
clothes,
clipart,
spirit
gear-and
anything
else
I
can
find-that
accompanies
our
current
sport
&
activity.
